Richard has been arranging travel since 1994. In that time he has built up a depth of knowledge that no algorithm can replicate — which hotels actually deliver on their promises, which cruise lines suit which travellers, which ski resorts work for families versus serious skiers, and which destinations are worth the journey.
Before moving into travel consultancy, Richard worked as a ski guide — experience that gave him a practical understanding of mountain resorts that still informs the ski holidays he arranges today. He has travelled across all seven continents, and that first-hand knowledge shapes every recommendation he makes.

A multi-stop journey through South-East Asia
A couple wanted to combine Bangkok, northern Thailand and Bali in three weeks, with a mix of city hotels and smaller properties in quieter areas. Richard mapped the routing, advised on the best order of destinations to avoid unnecessary backtracking, selected hotels at each stop, and arranged all internal flights and transfers. The result was a joined-up itinerary with no wasted travel days and a clear sense of progression through the region.
A Norwegian fjord cruise for a group of eight
A group of friends wanted to cruise the Norwegian fjords together, with a preference for a smaller ship and cabins that were genuinely comparable rather than spread across different grades. Richard identified a mid-size ship with the right itinerary, secured adjacent cabins at the same grade, and arranged flights from two different UK airports so the group could travel together from Oslo. He also suggested two nights in Bergen before embarkation — which the group agreed was one of the best parts of the trip.
